Job Description
People Services Advisor
Location: Warrington or London (Hybrid working - 1-2 days/week in the office)

Our People Services team supports our entire Gousto population, owning the key operational steps in the employee lifecycle. We’re on a journey to improve our ways of working by focusing on employee experience, simplicity, automation and compliance. We’re looking for a People Services Advisor to join our friendly and collaborative team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead on process improvement initiatives, work across a wide range of people operations, and contribute to an inclusive and engaging employee experience.
Core Responsibilities
1. Lead the onboarding and offboarding process for salaried employees, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience
2. Manage the contractor and freelancer onboarding process, supporting managers and ensuring compliance
3. Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to resolve contract queries and ensure smooth pre-boarding
4. Manage employee life cycle processes including contract changes and family leave entitlements
5. Provide guidance on complex or escalated employee queries to People Services Assistants
6. Advise managers on employee relations matters such as probations, absence, and flexible working requests
7. Carry out exit interviews and support ER consistency across the business
8. Drive improvements to people processes, focusing on automation, scalability and legal compliance
9. Maintain accurate documentation including contracts, engagement plans, job descriptions, and org charts
10. Build trusted relationships with People Partners and Line Managers, providing operational support and advice
11. Deliver ad-hoc training and occasional office support, including event coordination and reception cover

12. You have generalist HR knowledge gained in a fast-paced, commercial environment
13. You build trust and form strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
14. You have an excellent eye for detail and pride yourself on delivering high-quality work
15. You are proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused in your approach
16. You thrive in a collaborative environment and contribute to shared goals
17. You demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
18. You are resilient and adaptable, able to manage ambiguity and changing priorities
19. You’re highly organised, deadline-focused, and comfortable prioritising workload
20. You are confident working with HR systems, Google Docs and Sheets (including pivot tables and formulas)
21. You understand how to use HR data and analytics to generate reports and insights
22. CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential
