Toolmaker / Fitter
Location: Atherton, Manchester.
Role overview:
* Manufacture and assembly of jigs & fixtures for the aerospace & nuclear industry.
* Operate toolroom machinery and ensure equipment is calibrated.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Follow SOP and quality standards.
Desired skills:
* Familiarity with toolroom machinery & engineering drawings.
* Assembly / fitting skills with attention to detail.
* Time‑served apprentice or vocational qualifications.
Desired experience:
* Aerospace experience beneficial (not essential).
* Manufacturing experience using Heidenheim software.
* Manual measuring equipment (e.g., Vernier).
CNC Milling Operator
Location: Stockport.
Role overview:
* Operate CNC milling machines and perform related manufacturing tasks.
Key responsibilities:
* Run milling operations following SOP.
* Read engineering drawings and ensure correct tooling.
* Maintain equipment hygiene and safety standards.
Desired skills and experience:
* Experience operating CNC machines.
* Understanding of machining processes.
* Good teamwork, communication, and proactive attitude.
CMM Inspector
Location: Stockport, Cheshire.
Role overview:
* Inspect jobs at first‑off, final, and FAIR stages to meet customer requirements.
* Provide timely feedback on product non‑conformities and highlight training needs.
Key responsibilities:
* Operate CMM equipment and capture specific measurements.
* Evaluate inspection reports and forecast tool usage.
* Assist machine operators and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
* Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
* Team‑working ethic, proactive and motivated.
* Ability to read and interpret 2D & 3D engineering drawings.
* Experience with CMM software (Camio preferred; other knowledge considered).
* Solid engineering background and understanding of QMS (AS9100, aerospace/automotive).
* Familiarity with FAIRS process and inspection tools.
* Experience with CNC machining (preferred).
* IT literacy (SAP, Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Attention to detail, problem‑solving (Lean/Six Sigma preferred).
* Ability to work flexible hours and commitment to 5S & safety standards.
Sheet Metal Worker
Location: Dukinfield manufacturing facility.
Role overview:
* Manufacture products for aerospace and defence clients performing full‑range sheet metal operations.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow routing & quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
* Operate calibrated equipment and maintain 5S compliance.
* Use processes such as rubber press, hand form, profiling, countersinking, wheeling, and rolling.
Desired skills:
* Attention to detail, producing high‑tolerance components.
* Solid engineering background and understanding of aerospace specifications.
Airframe Fitter
Location: Dukinfield manufacturing facility.
Role overview:
* Assembly of core aerospace products involving metallic structures.
* Follow SOP and quality standards, reading engineering drawings and using calibrated equipment.
Key responsibilities:
* Perform assembly operations.
* Key processes: drilling, countersinking, riveting, sealants, helicoils, bearings, bushes, etc.
* Ensuring correct equipment calibration.
Application requirement:
* Trade test to demonstrate ability to carry out assembly processes to aerospace quality standards.
