Job Opportunity: Document Controller - Balfour Beatty

Full-Time Position
Balfour Beatty, a leading international infrastructure group, is seeking a skilled Document Controller to join our team at Avonbank Bristol. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support operations and projects by ensuring efficient management and control of all project documentation and workflows.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and maintain confidential records such as operational documents.
* Execute workflows/transmittal processes.
* Manage control of Internal and External registers to ensure alignment.
* Maintain templates and file documentation on SharePoint, BIM360, and other platforms.
* Distribute information with proper configuration management and revision control.
* Seek continuous improvement of systems and processes.
* Provide timely information to clients, project teams, and subcontractors as applicable.
* Provide feedback on documentation issues impacting the wider project.
* Ensure a focus on Zero Harm and contribute to KPIs related to health, safety, and environment.
* Liaise with project teams to ensure understanding of document control.
* Provide training on documentation control as needed.
* Support in review of supply chain documentation and submission of H&S and Quality Handover information.
* Identify opportunities for improvement and review formatting and QA of documentation.
* Manage own schedule, prioritize document submissions, and ensure timely delivery.
* Report weekly on document control activities and manage review timelines.
* Execute contractual document control requirements as directed by senior personnel.
* Ensure accurate digital information control from pre-construction to archiving.
* Manage business archiving for efficient storage and retrieval of documentation.
Who we're looking for
* Proficient in IT systems and EDMS used in documentation control, such as BIM360, SharePoint, Aconex, ViewPoint, BC.
* Experience in document control.
* Understanding of BIM, digital tools, and ISO19650 standards.
* Ability to collaborate across departments for optimal outcomes.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Good interpersonal skills for developing relationships and influencing.
Desirable qualities/experience:
* Experience with various project types.
* Proficiency in O365.
* Current driving license.
