Role:
Head of Finance
In your role as Head of Finance, you will lead the finance team and be heavily involved in day-to-day finance responsibilities.
Duties will include:
1. Leading and managing the Finance team, including allocation, monitoring, and review of work, carrying out appraisals, training, personal development, resource planning, and running regular team meetings.
2. Preparing monthly management accounts and forecasts (including Income & Expenditure, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements) with supporting commentary and KPIs.
3. Ensuring Financial Regulations and Procedures are adhered to and are updated regularly.
4. Ensuring effective budgetary controls are in place and that budget holders and management receive regular and timely reports on performance against budgets.
5. Carrying out monthly reconciliations on all key accounts to ensure accurate recording of income and expenditure.
Person:
The successful candidate will:
* Be fully or part qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CIPFA), or QBE.
* Have experience within the public sector.
* Be able to start immediately.
