The People team play an important role in the organisation, and an excellent opportunity has now arisen for an 'Apprentice – People Services', offered on a fixed term contract of 2 years.

We strongly encourage applications from those looking to start or progress a career in HR and the successful applicant will be involved in supporting us to deliver a high-quality service, which will include carrying out tasks relating to HR, Learning and Payroll support.
Day to day tasks include checking and inputting data on our HR/Payroll system, and supporting with various stages of the employee lifecycle (recruitment / training etc.)
The role will involve communication with a range of both internal and external customers, so successful applicants should be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Applicants should have GCSE grade C/4 or above or equivalent and must be able to demonstrate that they can work methodically with a good attention to detail, be able to work under pressure and to deadlines, and be able to work flexibly within a team.
Experience of using Microsoft Office package (including Word, Excel and Outlook) is essential.

We are looking for the successful applicant to work 36 hours per week, and time will be given during the working week to study and complete assignments as required.
The successful applicant would be required to attend the Civic Offices in person as and when required.
