Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of joinery and construction, demonstrating proficiency in fabrication and assembly. This role requires a hands-on approach, working with both hand and power tools to create high-quality wooden structures and fittings. The Joiner will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for precise cutting, shaping, and finishing of materials.
* Carry out joinery tasks in accordance with specifications and drawings.
* Perform roofing tasks as required, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety regulations.
* Engage in heavy lifting as necessary to transport materials and complete projects.
* Assist with construction painting to finish surfaces as per project requirements.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including plumbers, electricians, and masons.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in joinery or carpentry is essential.
* Familiarity with fabrication techniques and assembly processes.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to joinery work.
* Knowledge of roofing practices is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
* Experience in construction painting is desirable.
* Basic plumbing, masonry, or electrical experience will be considered an asset.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
