Children's Services at Homerton Healthcare is looking for a Paediatric Nurse to provide expert and compassionate seamless care to children with Respiratory Conditions and their families/carers. This is a suitable role for someone who is already working as an Respiratory CNS or a B6 working with children who have respiratory conditions and who is ready to take the next step into a specialist role.
You will be working within a team of specialist nurses for children.
You may be expected to work clinically on the ward or in Outpatients so its desirable that you have recent clinical experience in one or both of those areas.
Main duties of the job
1. Acute & long term education, advice and liaison for families
2. Support for MDT clinic
3. Co-ordination of follow up community/ nurse led appointments
4. Monitor/manage caseload of patients
5. Admission avoidance through close monitoring and optimisation of treatment
6. Multi-professional liaison: GP, tertiary, social, other specialties
7. School liaison/ education
8. Telephone advice
9. involvement in research and audit

10. Current paediatric nursing registration (degree level)
11. Recent experience of working with CYP with Respiratory Conditions
12. Practice assessor qualification
13. Experience of working with Safeguarding families

15. Masters level qualification in related subject
16. Independent Prescribing course
