<div><p>As an Improving Screening Uptake Officer, you will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service, supporting programme managers and screening staff across the diabetic eye screening programme, and providing pro‑active public‑facing support to improve screening uptake.</p><ul><li>Act as an integrated member of the diabetic eye screening team and wider service, initiating new uptake projects and contributing to existing projects, ensuring that a quality service is provided to all service users.</li><li>Focus on reducing health inequalities by developing and contributing to interventions to improve uptake of screening by vulnerable groups.</li><li>Actively support the screening team and contribute to achieving key performance indicators.</li><li>Actively engage with system partners to improve screening uptake, providing key knowledge of the screening programme.</li><li>Use evidence and learn from best practice across the region and further afield to inform work.</li><li>Maintain records to produce timely quarterly and end‑of‑year screening uptake reports that contribute to the overall service annual report.</li><li>Provide pro‑active, outward/public‑facing support to the diabetic eye screening programme team in improving uptake.</li></ul><ul><li>Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or significant proven experience.</li><li>Experience of delivering complex programme and project work.</li><li>Experience working in a population screening programme.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to convey complex information.</li><li>Ability to compile comprehensive draft reports, data and correspondence; negotiating, networking and persuasive skills.</li><li>Planned and organised approach with the ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.</li><li>Commitment to quality and promotion of high standards in all work.</li><li>Works well with others, is positive, helpful, listens and respects contributions of others.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and trust, with awareness of information governance and data protection requirements.</li><li>Knowledge of administrative procedures, project management or information analysis.</li><li>Experience of report writing for a multi‑disciplinary audience (desirable).</li><li>Data interrogation and interpretation skills (desirable).</li><li>Provisional requirement for a Disclosure and Barring Service check.</li></ul><p>We welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnic origin, gender, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, disability or social background.
