If so, the children of Hanbury Primary School are looking for you! We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated, experienced and highly skilled LSP to join our strong Early Years department. The role will require a high level of experience of working with children within Early Years, including those with complex additional needs. They would also bring a wealth of experience of supporting and developing children’s communication and language skills. The successful candidate would be joining a positive, supportive and welcoming team. We have high expectations of both our children and our staff. We can offer you: - support from a very experienced and supportive leadership team and staff - an ambitious and supportive governing body - well-behaved and enthusiastic children - training specifically targeted to your position in school - a bright, modern and well-resourced school building and environment - line management from an AHT We are looking for a learning support practitioner who is: - passionate about Early Years - highly experienced working with Early Years children - highly motivated, enthusiastic and want to make a difference everyday - patient, but firm with rules and boundaries - able to develop positive relationships with our children and their families - able to offer high quality support and does everything possible to develop children’s communication skills - able to work as a team and be flexible to meet the needs of the children and the school. - able to work with outside agencies and act on advice given Please note candidates will be observed working with children as part of the recruitment process. All staff have a duty to safeguard our children and therefore we expect all staff to adhere to our Safeguarding Policy (available on the school website) and participate in annual safeguarding training. As part of the appointment procedure all staff have to undergo a DBS disclosure which will report cautions as well as convictions. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children's Barring List Check. If you are barred from working with children, you are breaking the law if you apply for this post. Shortlisted candidates applying for a regulated activity role will be asked to complete a self-declaration and disclosure form. Any disclosures declared on this form will be discussed at interview. This search does not form part of the shortlisting process and you will have the opportunity to discuss any issues of concern that may arise from this search at the interview. Pre-employment checks will be carried out in line with KCSIE. Hours - 32.5 hours per week Grade - Band D, SCP 9-17 £27,254-£31,022 pro rata (£14.13-£16.08 per hour) (actual £20,900-£23,895 per annum) Location - Hanbury Primary School, Hanbury Road, West Bromwich, B70 9NT Contract - Permanent Closing Date - Monday 1st June 2026 at 12pm
