Position Overview
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled Building Services Manager to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be committed to ensuring that our school and its grounds are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, and will manage the security, maintenance and health and safety of the entire school site to provide a clean, warm, safe and secure environment.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the school is a clean, warm, safe and secure environment.
* Maintain site security, health and safety and undertake statutory testing as per regulations.
* Carry out appropriate risk assessments.
* Coordinate and manage contractors on site.
* Work independently and under pressure, using initiative.
* Prioritise work effectively, ensuring all jobs are completed to the highest standard.
* Demonstrate a flexible, positive, can do attitude.
* Perform lone working safely.
Qualifications & Experience
A good attendance record is a must. Working hours are variable to meet the school’s objectives and may involve a split shift format. The role requires a DBS check, and any applicable qualifications, medical fitness, identity and right‑to‑work checks. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. Candidates must be able to comply with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
