Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Perform MIG welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
* Conduct assembly of components according to specifications while adhering to ASME codes and standards.
* Operate cranes and forklifts safely for material handling and rigging tasks
* Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
Requirements
* Proven experience in construction or manufacturing environments with a focus on welding and fabrication.
* Proficiency in MIG welding and welding techniques.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various machinery including punching, pillar drill and agility.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
* Able to use overhead cranes.
* Consistently maintain and update all relevant documentation relating to production activities in line with agreed company standards ensuring that regulatory and quality requirements are met
* Not Essential but would be helpful if the candidate holds a Forklift License.
