Overview
Maintenance Resource Planning Manager, Salary up to £40k + excellent benefits package & career opportunities, Based; Livingston. Working Monday to Friday (sociable hours) 37.5hrs.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Resource Planning Manager to work for a leading company at their Livingston branch. The purpose of this role is to plan and coordinate maintenance work with customers and Maintenance Technicians, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies. This is a management role with leadership responsibility. The ideal candidate will ideally have experience in a Planning Manager, Maintenance Planner / Resource planner or similar role.
Responsibilities
* Point of contact for customer inquiries related to maintenance requests and issues.
* Keep customers informed of the progress of their maintenance issues, ensuring proactive communication.
* Raise maintenance jobs accurately and timeously.
* Plan works to ensure prioritisation, efficiency and compliance with SLAs.
* Efficient communication with Maintenance Technicians and contractors, swiftly resolving customer issues and escalating where necessary.
* Ensure technician and contractor compliance (certifications, working hours, H&S and incident reporting, etc.).
* Administration of RAMs documentation.
* Raise purchase orders for technicians and third parties.
* Resolve customer invoice queries and deal with supplier disputes.
* People leadership: lead and develop the team, including setting objectives, progression plans and coaching.
* Challenge under-performance where necessary in line with contractual terms and conditions with sub-contractors.
* Lead people development, including recognition, conduct, capability and performance management, coaching and mentoring.
* Set objectives and progression plans; submit overtime records, approve holidays, document absences; conduct interviews and reviews.
* Ensure training records are maintained and that skills matrices and progression opportunities are clear to the team and individuals.
Candidate requirements
* Experience as a Maintenance & Resource planning manager, Maintenance Planner, Resource Planner or similar role.
* People / team management experience.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
* Effective time management, managing multiple tasks and prioritising.
* Ability to evaluate situations, identify problems, and find effective solutions.
* Attention to detail: accurately recording information and understanding customer needs.
* People management, leading objective setting, maintaining training records and fostering a positive work culture.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
