Responsibilities
* Lead daily operations of the assigned unit to ensure quality service in accordance with current nursing standards of practice, FutureCare policies and procedures, and State and Federal regulations.
* Oversee day-to-day care and maintain restorative health for residents.
* Develop and implement resident care plans as needed.
* Evaluate, prioritize, and meet the care needs of each resident.
* Supervise, counsel, and manage performance of nursing staff to ensure the highest quality care.
* Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and physicians to plan and maintain resident care.
* Identify procedural problems and work with the Director of Nursing to resolve issues.
* Supervise and direct all clinical aspects of nursing practice and engage in clinical activities.
* Serve as the main point of contact between residents and families and address and prevent concerns.
* Perform audits, complete charting, medical forms, and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications
* Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland.
* Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.
* 1–3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills are a plus.
* Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility.
* Must possess a current CPR license.
