Job Description Night Training: Full clinical training provided (Epilepsy experience essential) Environment: Family home with CCTV in place We are looking for a kind, patient and skilled Paediatric Complex Care Support Worker to support a wonderful 6‑year‑old boy living at home in the B11 area with his mum, dad and three siblings. Care is also sometimes at Grandmas house which is B11 area also. Born during the Covid lockdown in 2020, he is a much‑loved part of a busy, caring household. About the Child He has a severe and progressive neurodegenerative condition, and his health has significantly deteriorated over the past year. His clinical needs include: Dysphagia Gut dysmotility Gastro‑oesophageal reflux disease Gastro‑Jejunostomy (GJ) tube for all nutrition and fluids Epilepsy (experience essential) Ketogenic diet management to support seizure control Suctioning He responds best to gentle, reassuring care. He loves being close to his family, being picked up, cuddled, stroked and sitting on someone’s knee. The sound of the Qur’an soothes him, and he enjoys his musical light. About the Role You will be supporting him with: GJ tube feeds and fluid administration Seizure awareness and management Comfort, positioning and gentle sensory engagement Emotional reassurance and presence Working collaboratively with his family and wider care team CCTV is in place within the home.
