About the Role
and our Ideal Candidate
The Commissioning & Project Officer will support Commissioning Managers to deliver our ambitious plans for Sutton. You will be able to build relationships and lead on collaboration with partners, residents, charities and health. You will also handle and interpret sensitive data, manage poor performance and ensure the best service for vulnerable service users.
A key component of the Commissioning and Project Officer role is managing the performance of commissioned services as detailed in service specifications, monitoring the impact of services and analysing the extent to which they have achieved the aims described in a service specification
About Us
he London borough of Sutton continues to expand its Commissioning Service. The team sits at the corporate centre and reaches across the whole organisation. Commissioning within Sutton is not solely about planning, procuring and managing external service provision. Done well, we believe we will achieve the following:
1. Provide a different perspective, challenge service and needs assumptions and explore issues.
2. Find ways to unlock and mobilise assets and resources in delivering public services.
3. Lead collaboration with partners, including service providers, other public bodies, charities, businesses and citizens.
4. Move ideas to action: Pilot and then scale innovative service delivery models.
5. Create a learning culture where ideas are tested and learning is used to inform future development.
6. Engage and empower service users in design decisions and delivery.
Within Sutton’s Commissioning Service there is a very stable and high performing team, responsible for leading on a multitude of high profile projects that reach across the borough and London working collaboratively with providers and other local authorities to ensure that the best outcomes for our residents are achieved.
