We are looking for an experienced RGN or RMN with Physical Health Care experience to join the Physical Health Care Team with in the Adult Forensic Service at GMMH. The successful applicant will provide high quality holistic primary care for patients in a mental health service.
The role includes delivering nursing care including specialist clinics, health education and carrying out interventions such as ECG, venepuncture, wound care and immunisations. NMC requirements will be met and the individual will work within the NMC Code to agreed practice standards and protocols.
The post holder will be clinically based at the Edenfield Centre and will contribute towards the strategic development of physical health provision across the Network (via attendance at relevant meetings, practice and procedure development and contributing to specific projects and pieces of work.
Main duties of the job
1. To deliver a high standard of physical health care using specialist practice skills.
2. To work with clinical teams to address patients’ physical health needs within a specialist mental health care setting.
3. To ensure the highest standards of care are provided for patients.
4. To provide clinical leadership and management within the physical health team.
5. To help develop the nursing services offered by the physical health team.
