Based in Croydon, we support UK and Ireland markets, developing new solutions with OEMs and providing aftermarket support such as spare parts and repair services at our workshop or customer sites with our skilled workforce.
The position is for a Field Service Engineer, full-time, home-based and customer site-based. Candidates should be based near Luton, supporting regions including Oxford and Norwich.

Core responsibilities
1. Support Field Service activities for the Commercial Vehicles Division.
2. Maintain Electric Drive and Diwa bus transmission systems.
3. Perform diagnostics and repairs at customer and third-party sites.
4. Conduct major unit exchanges.
5. Support OEM collaborations.
6. Assist with new product introductions.
7. Support sales to increase product awareness and field service opportunities.
8. Provide technical support to sales teams.
9. Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
10. Coordinate with Health & Safety and Field Service Managers.
11. Minimize customer downtime.
12. Follow all H&S and environmental policies.
13. Work safely and professionally, completing all paperwork promptly.
14. Complete engineering reports timely.
15. Manage stock levels and maintain company vehicles.
16. Participate in stock takes and share product knowledge.
17. Work outside regular hours as needed.
18. Report quality issues and keep training current.
Professional Experience & Education
* Minimum engineering apprenticeship, Level 5 qualification preferred.
* Mechatronics or multi-skilled engineer with electrical expertise.
* Experience in field services and engineering.
* Experience with electric vehicles and high voltage systems.
* Knowledge of zero emission vehicles, electric drives, and control systems.
* Excellent diagnostic skills.
* Full UK driving license.
Benefits include: Permanent contract, company vehicle, salary (£50k-£60k), annual bonus, pensions, life assurance, private healthcare, cycle scheme. Working hours are Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-3:30pm, totaling 41 hours/week.
New employees must pass a drugs and alcohol medical upon starting.
