Summary
Required as soon as possible, the Governors at Whalley CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our Key Stage 2 team. The role involves providing support for a child who has just received an EHCP. The support is focused upon developing the child's maths and English each morning.
The child also has diabetes and so requires monitoring across lunchtime. The 20 hours is therefore from 9am until 1pm Monday to Friday.
Training will be provided regarding the child's medical needs.
This is a fixed term contract commencing ASAP from October 2025 until 31st August 2026.
Located in the centre of the beautiful village of Whalley we are a slightly larger than average school- but aim to retain the family feel of a village school and expect that everyone in school follows 'The Whalley Way'.

Essential Qualifications
Grade A*- C at GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
Desirable Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 or above appropriate to the post.
Essential Experience
Experience of working in a school / relevant classroom environment.
Desirable Experience
Experience of supporting pupils with an EHCP.
