Our local authority client is currently seeking a Rural Estate Manager on a contract basis. This role involves managing the Council's extensive 14,000-hectare rural estate, ensuring strategic, financial, and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading a team to manage the rural estate, ensuring optimal operations and performance
* Overseeing budgets and financial planning to achieve financial targets and milestones
* Providing expert advice to stakeholders on various matters related to the estate
* Identifying and driving development opportunities to maximise the value and revenue of the estate
* Supporting climate and biodiversity goals through sustainable estate management practices
* Maintaining accurate and comprehensive property records
* Maximising value from the estate's assets and annual revenue
Job Requirements:
* Extensive experience in estate management
* Strong understanding of strategic, financial, and environmental facets of rural estate management
* Ability to deliver budgets and financial plans effectively
* Proven advisory skills with a variety of stakeholders
* Experience in driving development initiatives within an estate context
