Are you an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager who doesn’t mind rolling your sleeves up and being hands-on? As our business continues to grow, we are looking to reinforce our formidable warehouse management team responsible for keeping the heart of our business beating.
Reporting to the Senior Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the daily management of one of our busy Warehouse Departments, leading a shift team of around 20 skilled operatives—expanding to as many as 50 during peak periods. Your role involves ensuring all daily tasks are completed efficiently, meeting business and customer needs, while upholding high standards of staff welfare and safety. You will ensure compliance with warehouse policies, health and safety procedures, and protocols.
We are looking for a candidate who can not only maintain current standards but also develop the team and the service they deliver as the company continues to grow.

Who you are
You will lead by example, encouraging a strong team-oriented work ethic. You will manage daily operations, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize customer needs. Supporting and developing team members and new starters, you will be the first point of contact on the warehouse floor. You will adopt a proactive approach to Health & Safety, ensuring legal compliance and safe working practices at all times. You will be decisive, problem-solve, and act with integrity and due diligence.
What we are looking for
* Previous people management experience within a warehouse environment, including team development and training on operating procedures
* Good communication skills
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills, including data analysis
* The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Computer literacy
* HSE Knowledge - Risk Assessments/HACCP/COSHH/SOPs
* Experience managing staff rotas
* Punctuality and reliability
* Focused and methodical approach with attention to detail
* Personable, self-motivated, and capable of working to deadlines
* Creative thinking in pressurized scenarios
* A ‘can do’ attitude, willing to support your team to achieve goals
Useful but not essential: Forklift experience, Goods In Experience, and previous eCommerce experience.
Considerations
This is a rotating shift role working from 06:00 to 23:00, Monday to Sunday, with additional hours during peak seasons. Flexibility is required.
