Following the release of ARRS GP information and funding we are looking for newly qualified (within 2 years and not having had a substantive post), enthusiastic, forward-thinking GPs to join Healthier West Wirral Primary Care Network. We will consider applications for between 6 and 7 sessions with a start date as soon as possible. There is also the potential to be involved in research opportunities.
Main duties of the job
Undertake home visits for patients in need of medical attention, including those who are housebound or unable to attend surgery who have been referred by GPs.
Provide comprehensive and timely care to patients, ensuring appropriate diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Provide general practice care across the 5 GP Practices within Healthier West Wirral PCN, including consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and management of both acute and chronic conditions.
Work collaboratively with practice teams, including nursing staff, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, and other ARRS roles.
Work within a multidisciplinary team, gaining exposure to innovative primary care models such as AVS.
Contribute to improving access to care for patients, reducing waiting times, and supporting clinical capacity within the practices.

Job responsibilities
Acute Visiting Service (AVS) 4 Sessions: Undertake home visits for patients in need of medical attention, including those who are housebound or unable to attend surgery who have been referred by GPs.
Provide comprehensive and timely care to patients, ensuring appropriate diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
Work alongside physician associates and paramedics already established in the Acute Home Visiting Team.
GP Practice Sessions 3 Sessions: Provide general practice care, including consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and management of both acute and chronic conditions.
Face to face and telephone consultations, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and work collaboratively with practice teams.
Person Specification
To be eligible for this ARRS-funded position, candidates must:
* Be included in NHS England's list of medical practitioners as per section 91 of the NHS Act 2006.
* Hold full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) on the General Practitioner Register.
* Be a Newly Qualified GP who obtained their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice within the last two years.
* Have the legal right to work in the UK.
* Hold appropriate medical indemnity insurance covering all professional duties.
Desirable skills and experience include:
* Experience of working in primary care.
* Experience of working in a GP practice.
* Knowledge of Primary Care Networks.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
