Develop design specifications and requirements Produce engineering solutions and documentation for verification and validation activities against requirements Conduct technical investigations and analysis, producing formal reports Use CAD, ERP (IFS preferred), Excel and other tools for design and data analysis Perform technical and personnel safety risk assessments Support tenders with technical input, schedules, WBS and cost estimates Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and calibration of engine test cell and MRO equipment Qualifications And Experience Essential Australian Citizen with ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronic preferred) Full lifecycle engineering experience (concept to commissioning) Strong mechanical/mechatronics design and system modelling skills High proficiency in CAD (NX preferred) Proven ability to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards Knowledge of Australian standards, WHS and regulatory compliance Experience producing engineering documentation (designs, calculations, drawings, test procedures, reports & compliance evidence) Ability to conduct and document technical and safety risk assessments Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills for complex engineering issues Excellent communication skills across technical and stakeholder groups Proficient in MS Office and relevant engineering software Desirable (General) RPEQ registration Experience in hazardous area design and operations Aviation engineering/MRO experience (military or commercial) Strong knowledge of aircraft engine maintenance and gas turbine test cell systems (design or maintenance) Experience applying reliability engineering across the asset lifecycle Understanding of RAM analysis in operational and test environments Familiar with RCA methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis) Knowledge of asset lifecycle management (reliability growth, obsolescence, sustainment planning) Proven ability to work with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to improve reliability and availability outcomes Desirable (Mechanical Engineering) High proficiency in FEA and CFD tools Experience with gas turbine engines or mechanical power generation equipment Knowledge of Lean engineering principles, APQP, and continuous improvement initiatives Desirable (Mechatronics) Experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and calibration in industrial/test environments Experience with DAS/PLC platforms (NI, Allen Bradley, Honeywell) and IEC standards Ability to read and produce schematic drawings and component schedules to engineering standards Knowledge of wiring systems (cables, applications, installation methods, equipment wiring) Understanding of Australian electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000 series) Knowledge of systems engineering models and documentation interpretation/creation Experience in instrument calibration and commissioning of control and data acquisition systems Strong numerical and analytical skills, with ability to identify trends in complex data If this is you, then please submit your application today!
