Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Chef for a national private care provider in Earls Colne, Essex.
About The Role
You will work 32 hours per week, with shifts from 8am to 6pm, four days a week. Responsibilities include planning and providing nutritious meals for residents, managing food budgets, and maintaining health and safety standards. You should be a team player who can motivate others. Days can be negotiated, but weekend work is required.
Skills And Attributes
* Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
* Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of techniques.
* Knowledge of nutrition and menu development for dietary needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
* Food Hygiene Certified Level 2, with willingness to progress to Intermediate Food Hygiene.
* First Aid Certified.
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering.
