In the lead up to DAiSY FEST 2025 we’re inviting curators and facilitators to explore the idea of ‘connections’, the threads that link people, places, memories, and ideas. We want an exhibition and series of workshops that reflect the richness of connection in all its forms, from stories of human relationships to reflections on identity, environment, community, or technology.
We’re seeking 3 x curators to work as a team developing a group exhibition. You must be a living in Surrey and a part of of the DAiSY Chain Network, our network for D/deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent artists – you can sign up for free!
We’re looking for emerging curators that are looking to try a behind the scenes role. You may be self-taught, alumni from our recent curation course, or just starting out and looking to grow your experience.
What you’ll receive:
– A £300 curatorial fee each.
– Support from the DAiSY team throughout the process
Are you interested in delivering a workshop at DAiSY FEST 2025? We’re looking for a workshop that is between 40-60 minutes. We’re seeking proposals that are:
– Accessible – welcoming and inclusive for disabled and non-disabled participants
– Creative – involving any artform: visual arts, music, dance, drama, poetry, craft, digital, etc.
– Community-focused – suitable for a range of ages and experiences
– Relate to the theme ‘Connections’
– Require a materials budget less than £100
What you’ll receive:
– A fee of £150, plus materials and transport costs within reason
– An initial meeting to explore the idea and outline expectations
– Support from staff or a volunteer the day
