National Account Manager – Foodservice

If you’re a genuine foodie with a passion for building strong customer relationships and hunting out new opportunities, this role is for you. We’re looking for someone who thrives on variety, loves the food industry, and wants to work with some of the biggest names in the UK foodservice world — Syco, Bidfood, Booker, pub groups, and new business within the pub sector.
You’ll be at the heart of growing our branded and private-label offering, developing long-term partnerships, and securing exciting new listings through NPD. You’ll also play a role in shaping part of a P&L, supported by an experienced cross-functional team including Innovation, Finance, Supply Chain, and Category & Insights.
This role could suit a high-performing National Account Executive ready for the next step or an established National Account Manager looking to make an impact in a growing FMCG business.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with the Senior Commercial Manager and Sales Director to deliver excellence across all touchpoints with key accounts.
* Grow existing relationships with Syco, Bidfood, Booker, pub groups, and secure new wins in the pub group sector.
* Drive new business development alongside managing and expanding current customer accounts.
* Lead the Foodservice New Business pipeline and manage the supporting contact strategy.
* Take ownership of customer cost price models, ensuring timely agreement on changes.
* Deliver against sales, volume, and profitability targets.
* Collaborate across functions to ensure commercial success — and get involved in exciting projects beyond core account management.
What You’ll Bring
* 2-5 years commercial experience in the food industry.
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Ability to analyse data
* Proven track record of winning new business and delivering growth.
* Customer-focused, with exceptional relationship-building skills at all levels.
* Skilled in negotiation, influencing, and presenting with impact.
* Creative thinker with NPD, innovation, and category insight experience.
* Tenacious, positive, and eager to learn and develop.
