Reed Finance is recruiting a Head of Finance to join the executive leadership team of our client, an entrepreneurial organisation with exciting future growth plans.
This critical role oversees the commercial financial strategy, financial planning & analysis, risk management and reporting, to ensure robust financial governance and long-term financial sustainability.
This role is fully office based and due to being in a remote location, having your own transport is essential.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
* Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, tax and treasury to support long-term business goals.
* Ensuring compliance with statutory law, including charity commission requirements, financial regulations and reporting standards.
* Reviewing and improving financial processes.
* Various projects, including implementing a new finance system.
* Line managing a small team.
* Assisting external auditors in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
* Understanding of charity accounting rules, as part of the organisation is a registered charity.
* Ability to manage a heavy and varied workload efficiently and remain calm under pressure.
* Commercial outlook with strong business partnering experience.
