Contract: Permanent

About this opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead one of our Children's Homes within the Edge of Care and Residential Service. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people and their families, supporting them through challenges linked to attachment, trauma, social exclusion, and emotional wellbeing.

You will be responsible for shaping and delivering the home's Statement of Purpose, ensuring high standards of care, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive. Working closely with a dedicated team and multi-agency partners, you will champion the voices of young people, promote inclusivity, and inspire innovative, therapeutic approaches to care.

If you are committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for children, developing strong and supportive teams, and building a positive community around the home, this is the role for you.

This role is available on a permanent basis.

Cumberland Council is proud to hold an Ofsted rating of 'Good' for our Children's Services, demonstrating our dedication and strong commitment to providing high-quality services for children and families. Ofsted recognised that staff unanimously report a 'real buzz about working in Cumberland' and that they feel 'energised, valued and listened to', observing that 'leaders have established a strong Cumberland identity that staff can be proud of'.
