Job Responsibilities

* Providing day-to-day trauma-informed support to meet the young person's needs, promoting safety, well-being, and protection from harm.
* Promoting healthy lifestyle choices through structured routines typical of a family home.
* Preparing meals and supporting nutritional needs.
* Fostering positive relationships with staff, professionals, and the wider community.
* Facilitating engagement with support services and health appointments.
* Transporting children and young people as necessary in your own vehicle.
* Listening to and acting upon the young person's views about their care, support, and accommodation, validating their voice.
* Supporting move-on plans and assisting with smooth transitions.
* Ensuring effective communication within the team and with all multi-agency partners.


Candidate Requirements

* Previous experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary).
* Full UK driver's license and access to your own vehicle.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility in working hours, including waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins if required.
* A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care) is desirable but not essential.
* Clear enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
