Role Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and compassionate Housekeeper / Laundry Assistant to ensure our residents enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to contribute to the well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Housekeeping: Clean and maintain residents' rooms, common areas, and facilities to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Laundry Services: Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, ironing, and folding residents' clothing and linens.
* Room Preparation: Prepare rooms for new residents, ensuring they are immaculate and welcoming.
* Inventory Management: Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies and laundry products, ensuring stock is replenished as needed.
* Waste Management: Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
* Resident Interaction: Engage with residents in a respectful and compassionate manner, responding to their housekeeping needs and requests.
* Collaborative Work: Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of housekeeping and laundry services.
Qualifications:
* Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry services, preferably in a residential or care home setting.
* Skills: Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work independently.
* Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
* Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
* Soft Skills: Good communication skills, reliability, and a positive attitude.
* Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, if needed.
