About the Purchasing Supervisor As a Purchasing Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the fluid power team at Hayley Dexis. Reporting into the Product Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing function, ensuring the timely and cost‑effective procurement of materials, components, and services critical to operational success. Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, please note this role is fully office based Key responsibilities as our Purchasing Supervisor • Lead, motivate, and support the purchasing team, providing guidance and prioritising workloads • Source, negotiate, and place orders for materials, components, and services in line with business requirements • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met • Monitor supplier performance and address issues relating to quality, delivery, or cost • Identify cost saving opportunities and support strategic sourcing and supplier rationalisation initiatives • Ensure purchasing processes comply with company procedures, quality standards, and commercial agreements • Manage purchase order accuracy, pricing, and lead times within the ERP/MRP system • Mitigate supply chain risks and proactively resolve shortages or delays • Provide purchasing data, reporting, and insights to support operational and management decision making What we're looking for in our Purchasing Supervisor: • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role • Previous experience supervising or mentoring others, with the confidence to lead day‑to‑day activities • Strong supplier management and negotiation skills, with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and planning teams • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment What you’ll get in return: • From 23 days annual leave (plus public/bank holidays) • Training provided through our own Hayley Academy. • Company pension • Life Assurance cover (x2 salary). • Invitation to healthcare schemes. • Wellness programmes. • Uniform and PPE provided. • Excellent opportunities and career prospects available.
