Job Overview
There is a vacancy in the North Team for a 30‑hour, part‑time School Nurse to work with an Integrated 0–19 Team including school nurses and health visitors. This role works with schools, families and the wider community in St Helens to improve the health of school‑aged children, identify more vulnerable children and develop clear referral pathways so that all children and young people can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with education and social care to provide services in response to identified need, both public health and safeguarding.
* Partner with St Helens Local Authority to advance the local children’s agenda.
* Demonstrate leadership within a fast‑paced, dynamic and challenging service, working across public health, health promotion and safeguarding domains.
* Provide services in schools and other education provider settings, communicating effectively with children and young people.
* Work effectively both within a team and independently.
* Maintain in‑depth knowledge of current trends and developments in school nursing and the children’s health agenda.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven leadership, experience and knowledge of school nursing.
* Commitment to reducing health inequalities and working with vulnerable families.
* Well‑organised with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of current trends in school nursing and the children’s health agenda.

* Salary will be in line with national NHS terms and conditions; offers may consider relevant experience. Part‑time salaries are pro‑rata.
