Join to apply for the SEN / SEND Tutor, Lancashire role at TieTalent. Core subject tutoring (Maths, English, or Science) for young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs in Lancashire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN/SEND, and other needs such as SEMH. We support children and young people with MLD and SLD and are looking for SEN / SEND tutors who are passionate about transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Lancashire. You will be supported throughout placements by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who enjoy 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* These learners are referred by local authorities and schools and require support in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to support their progress
Tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions aligned to the learner’s needs and progression
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with learners who have SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance with obtaining at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments

Employment status
