Field Service Technician – EMEA
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to support our customers across the EMEA region. This role involves providing technical service and support both on-site at customer locations worldwide and at our facilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Commissioning and installation of injection moulds, cube moulds, controllers and hot runner systems worldwide
* Carrying out repair, maintenance and servicing work on injection moulds, cube moulds, controllers and hot runner systems
* Technical fault analysis and troubleshooting of system malfunctions
* On-site assessment, repair and optimisation of moulds and systems at customer premises
* Preparation of initial sampling documentation, maintenance records and process documentation
* Delivering customer training (in-house and on-site) to ensure correct operation and maintenance procedures
* Providing structured feedback on product performance and applications to support continuous improvement initiatives
* Working closely with international customers to maintain high levels of service excellence
* Independent organisation of international travel in coordination with internal support teams
* Follow-up of service assignments including documentation, reporting and system entries
* Supporting quality management in handling customer complaints and quality issues
* Supporting Molding Solutions facilities when not assigned to service deployments
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Completed apprenticeship as a Toolmaker, Precision Mechanic, Process Mechanic or similar technical qualification
* Minimum 2 years' experience working with injection moulds and hot runner systems
* Experience with hydraulic systems is advantageous
* Strong knowledge of plastics processing and injection moulding technology
* Experience in electrical installation and electrical system design is an advantage
* Good working knowledge of MS Office, CAD and 3D software
* Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Epicor is beneficial
* Good written and spoken English
* Willingness to travel internationally (>60%)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* High level of flexibility and willingness to adapt to new technologies and processes
