Job Description
Our team has an established track record of successfully delivering major multidisciplinary rail projects from our regional offices in London and Croydon, interfacing with other regional teams and global design centres. We are seeking a Rail Principal Civils Engineer to support our expanding workload and enhance our team.
The ideal candidate will have proven design experience in Rail Civils across all project stages and have led Civil and Structural Rail projects. You should be capable of delivering rail projects to client satisfaction, ensuring accuracy, economy, constructability, compliance with relevant codes and standards, and quality of drawings and calculations.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Provide Expertise: Lead civil engineering design, manage bids, procurement, and contracts.
2. Collaborate: Receive project briefs and coordinate with team members.
3. Ensure Quality: Develop and check designs, calculations, reports, and specifications; review CAD drawings and documentation; prepare technical reports.
4. Anticipate: Support development of construction specifications and attend sites during construction to ensure compliance with designs and safety standards, including CDM and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications required:
* BSc, BEng, or Meng in civil engineering.
* Chartered Engineer ICE (or working towards) and membership of a professional institution.
* Experience in Rail Civils and Structures, familiar with Network Rail, London Underground, Railway Group Standards, British Standards, and Eurocodes.
