Supply Desk is delighted to be working with a highly regarded primary school in Borehamwood, known for its welcoming ethos and supportive learning environment. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting straight away.
Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to support pupils’ learning and personal development. Your role will be vital in helping children build confidence, develop essential skills, and achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group support
Assist with classroom organisation and encourage positive behaviour
Adapt learning materials to suit diverse needs and interests
Support lesson delivery and classroom activities
Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing
Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Confident in supporting classroom routines and behaviour management
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of inclusive education and safeguarding practices
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
