The Role
This is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll be working closely with cross-functional teams, to help deliver an exciting pipeline of new products that meet both customer briefs and business goals.
From initial concept through to factory launch, you will have full exposure to the development process, working to critical paths and helping shape products that delight consumers every time. You will be a key contributor in a fast-paced environment, balancing creativity with commercial awareness.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Innovating new products and processes in response to customer briefs
•Creating recipes that hit key targets for flavour, quality, and profitability
•Presenting concepts and ideas both internally and externally
•Benchmarking products against the market to keep ahead of trends
•Working collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth delivery from kitchen to launch
•Monitoring quality and suggesting improvements across product ranges.
This role would suit a passionate and detail-oriented Product Developer or NPD Technologist with a strong interest in food and an eagerness to grow. Ideally, you’ll bring a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related subject. You’ll have hands-on NPD experience in a food manufacturing setting. You’ll also have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and great communication and presentation skills.
Additionally, you’ll have a commercial mindset with an understanding of costings and margin requirements.
