Large Loss Adjuster (Personal Injury Claims Team) Location: Diss, South Norfolk, UK Position Overview: Role Overview The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with a proven track record in managing a caseload of large loss and catastrophic personal injury claims, potentially exceeding £500,000. These cases may include multi-orthopaedic injuries, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and limb amputation. You will collaborate closely with departmental colleagues, external solicitors, capacity providers, reinsurers, and suppliers, with the ultimate goal of achieving the best settlements in a timely and professional manner. Key Accountabilities Manage your own caseload of complex motor injury cases, working under authority limits and criteria set by the Head of Claims. Communicate effectively with customers, witnesses, insurers, repairers, solicitors, engineers, medical experts, forensic accountants, rehab providers, and case managers. Act as a referral point and mentor within the department, providing coaching, mentoring, and training. Engage in various strategic projects to ensure continued development and stay updated on industry trends and performance. Support and uphold company values and policies while maintaining the highest standards of work. Key Skills and Requirements Extensive experience in handling personal injury claims in excess of £150,000, with a focus on claims valued between £500,000 and £1 million. Strong knowledge of indemnity and liability, with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of the regulatory and legislative requirements governing the industry. Excellent negotiation skills.
