Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – One-to-One Year 3 – Full-Time
Are you a dedicated and experienced individual with a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs? We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work one-to-one with a Year 3 student at a primary school on The Wirral. This full-time position is available immediately and will continue until the end of the summer term, with the possibility of extension into the next academic year.

Hours: Full-Time

Duration: Until Summer and Potential Extension into Next Academic Year
Role Overview:
– Provide one-to-one support to a Year 3 student with mixed behaviour needs.
– Assist the student in their academic and social development, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning experience.
– Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to implement strategies and interventions that support the student’s progress.
– Maintain records of the student’s progress and communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
Requirements:
– Previous experience working as an LSA or in a similar role, ideally with students exhibiting mixed behaviour.
– Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
– Ability to build a rapport with students and provide a nurturing and structured learning environment.
– Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting student progress.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
15. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
16. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
17. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
18. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
19. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
