Care Assistant (Care homes) – Friends of the Elderly

Pay range

This range is provided by Friends of the Elderly. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.


Contract

Full time / part time (26.25 hours per week) and bank available.

Working pattern: Days and weekends.

Part‑time option: Three consecutive days on with three consecutive days off, 6‑week rolling rota.

Required qualifications: The Care Certificate or Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care.


About the organisation

Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not‑for‑profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel. The charity has supported older people for over 120 years and provides care home and day care services as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.

We are recruiting for a Care Assistant for our new facility, Friends Place, Calcot, opened in July 2025. The home offers residential, dementia, and respite care in a state‑of‑the‑art environment with amenities such as a cinema, salon, tea room, and bar.

Qualifications & experience

Minimum 6 months experience in a care home environment.

Empathetic, respectful, self‑motivated, flexible, and a team player who is always willing to go the extra mile.

Passion for care and building solid relationships with residents.
