What is the job role?
Brandon Wood Farm provides day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and/or complex needs, located on the border of Coventry and Warwickshire. We support individuals who may not access community activities due to their needs and behaviors. Our tranquil, spacious setting allows us to support sensitive individuals, with gardens for growing plants and animals, as well as indoor groups requiring creativity and planning.
We are recruiting for four posts: one 30.5-hour, one 30-hour (both over 5 days), and two 24-hour roles (over 4 days).
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; appointment is conditional upon a satisfactory DBS check.
Who are we looking for?
You should be able to spend most of your day on your feet, enjoy outdoor work in all weather, have a flexible, patient, non-judgmental approach, and demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills.
Key duties include:
* Supporting individuals who may display challenging behaviors appropriately.
* Responding to changing needs and communicating concerns effectively.
* Supporting individuals/groups in animal care activities.
* Treating everyone with dignity and involving them in decisions about their support.
