About the Role
The Hospitality Services Educator plays a key role within Eldercare’s Learning and Development team, leading the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of hospitality education and training programs across the organisation. This position ensures hospitality employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deliver high‑quality services to residents, integrating contemporary best practice, Aged Care Quality Standards, and Eldercare’s Model of Care into all training initiatives.
In this role, you will support the delivery of L&D’s Mandatory Onboarding programs, including facilitating Day 1 Hospitality specific inductions, and deliver targeted, site‑based education aligned to workforce needs, service priorities, and identified risks. This includes a range of delivery approaches such as face‑to‑face training, competency‑based assessments, toolbox sessions, and practical, hands‑on training to support consistent, high‑quality hospitality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, develop and deliver hospitality education and training across a variety of settings
* Design and implement training needs assessments to identify capability gaps
* Act as the subject matter expert for hospitality standards and updates
* Contribute to the development, review and continuous improvement of training materials
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programs reflect evidence‑based best practice
* Embed Eldercare’s Model of Care into all education and training initiatives
* Support the evaluation and improvement of e‑learning packages and programs
* Provide coaching, mentoring and support to hospitality staff to enhance capability and service delivery
What You Will Bring
* Proven experience in hospitality training and education, preferably in the aged care or healthcare sector.
* Tertiary qualifications within hospitality, healthcare or education.
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or prepared to undertake this qualification).
* Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training and education within a health or aged care setting.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and maintain a high level of customer service.
* Well‑developed problem‑solving, attention to detail and time management skills.
* Experience within the Aged Care sector (desirable).
* Willingness to travel to Eldercare sites to deliver and assess training requirements.
