The Radiology department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn is looking to appoint driven, enthusiastic individuals to a band 5 Radiographer position.
As a Diagnostic Radiographer, you are a vital part of many patient pathways and are key to ensuring patients receive compassionate care while supporting a timely diagnosis. Whether providing highly skilled image acquisition or undertaking advanced clinical tasks, this role makes a difference.
As a newly qualified radiographer, you will be supported and developed in your role. All newly qualified radiographers complete a preceptorship programme and are supported by the senior team and practice educators.
You will be expected to participate in 7-day working across the QEH and Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) sites.
Main duties of the job
1. Part of a team of Radiographers providing an Out of Hours (OOH) imaging service.
2. As an Autonomous Practitioner, be accountable for your own professional actions whilst working independently.
3. Adhere to all legislation relating to the diagnostic use of X-rays.
4. Follow department Local Rules and all technique protocols.
5. Work with student radiographers and apprentices in a supervisory capacity under the guidance of the Practice Educator.
6. Maintain an up-to-date CPD portfolio and undertake regular audits.
7. Participate fully in the Out of Hours (OOH) rota, including night and weekend duties.
8. Be flexible with shift patterns, including extended working days, night shifts, on-call, and bank holidays, according to staffing and training needs.
