Are you an experienced Electrical & Control Design Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge subsea technology? We're supporting a market-leading engineering organisation at the forefront of remotely operated subsea vehicle development and are looking for a talented engineer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. ?? Newcastle ?? £45-£55 per hour ?? Outside IR35 ?? Initial 6-month contract with potential extension ?? What You'll Be Doing Design, develop, test, and commission advanced electrical and control systems for world-class subsea vehicles and equipment. Take ownership of projects throughout the full engineering lifecycle, from concept and specification through to commissioning, customer acceptance, and field support. Develop and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions while supporting electrical system integration activities. Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and software engineers to deliver innovative engineering solutions. Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and maintainability across a range of exciting projects. ? What We're Looking For Proven experience in electrical and control system design. Strong PLC programming experience, ideally with Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley platforms. Experience with HMI and SCADA development. Ability to work across the full project lifecycle in a highly technical engineering environment. Previous experience within offshore, subsea, marine, industrial automation, or special-purpose machinery sectors would be highly advantageous.
