Role Overview
An exciting opportunity to join our Respiratory Physiology Department as a Clinical Respiratory Physiologist based primarily at Bexhill Community Diagnostic Centre, with cross‑site working across Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Perform lung function tests across sites, including the physiology lab, GP direct‑access spirometry service, and the new breathlessness pathway.
* Set up, calibrate and maintain diagnostic equipment, ensuring quality control.
* Produce accurate investigation reports and technical comments.
* Progress to more complex lung function testing following completion of training.
* Contribute to research studies, exercise testing and sleep physiology activities as required.
* Support staff and participate in continuous improvement of the respiratory physiologist service.
Qualifications
* Enthusiastic and motivated with strong IT and communication skills.
* Previous experience in lung function testing (spirometry) is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work towards the ARTP Associate Examination (Level I) and seek progression to a Band 5 post.
* Commitment to completing the Annex 21 training programme and competency requirements.
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary, high‑volume diagnostic environment is desirable.
