Job Responsibilities
* Direct work with young people, including key working and providing day-to-day care and support on a shift basis.
* Collaborate with young people, their social workers, careers, and relevant agencies.
* Coordinate, monitor, and review Care Plans for young people transitioning to adulthood and independence.
* Maintain the establishment's health and safety standards, making autonomous decisions regarding individual young people's requests and behaviour during shifts.
* Perform administrative tasks and record-keeping related to key working and daily operations of the home.
* Encourage young people's responsibility for their lives, keep them informed of their rights, involve them in planning, and support their growing independence.
* Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
* Attend to daily needs of young people, including bathing, feeding, and cooking.
Household Responsibilities
* Participate in practical activities to maintain the house.
* Care for the fabric, equipment, and overall environment of the home.
* Manage allocated funds responsibly.
* Report repairs and ensure necessary actions are taken.
Personal Development
* Act as a role model and guide, setting principles and examples.
* Stay updated with good practices to develop skills and knowledge, in line with a personal development plan.
* Utilize regular professional supervision.
* Report malpractice or evidence of concern to a line manager or appropriate person.
Additional Duties
* Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management.
* Work shifts including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
* Be flexible to work at other properties as directed by management.
