We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our team, with the opportunity to complete a clinical certificate/diploma and train as a Mental Health Pharmacist through individually tailored developmental support.

Responsibilities
* Attend ward rounds, patient education and counselling, clinical audit and medicines information as part of the clinical post.
* Provide support to patients and their families by offering advice about the use of medication, optimising treatment, providing information and liaising with acute and other care providers to ensure seamless transfer of care.
* Work within a clinical pharmacy team that provides a medicines management service to the inpatient wards.
* Be involved in working with other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to undertake and develop audits and projects to evaluate and improve services alongside pharmacy and trust priorities and objectives.
* Learn and build experience through formal learning and work-based practice, with ongoing training and support from the Lead Education and Training Pharmacist and the local clinical pharmacy team, with clinical supervision by experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacists.
* Receive further support from the Trust-wide pharmacy team if required.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Not required to have prior mental health experience; the candidate is expected to learn and build experience on the job through formal learning and work-based practice.
* Compassion and respect for people with mental health problems, and a drive to improve care through medicines management.
* Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to audits and projects within pharmacy and trust priorities.
