Shift Technician – Critical Facilities
Location: Farnborough
Salary: Up to £47,500
Shift Pattern: Continental Shift Pattern
We are seeking a Shift Technician to support operations within a critical facilities environment. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, contractor supervision, and ensuring safe, reliable site operations.
Key Duties
* Planned and reactive M&E maintenance
* Complete work orders in line with SLAs using a CMMS
* Supervise and escort contractors
* Issue permits to work and carry out authorised isolations
* Monitor critical services and environmental systems
* Log incidents and escalate issues
* Support minor installation and repair works
* Work as part of a shift team, including cover for holidays and sickness
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent (Electrical or Mechanical)
* 18th Edition (or equivalent)
* Experience in a critical or high-availability environment
* Good H&S and permit-to-work knowledge
* Strong communication and basic IT skills
Additional Information
* Shift-based role including weekends and bank holidays
* Physically fit and comfortable working at height
