SEN Teaching Assistant - Wellingborough Area
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary and secondary school in the Wellingborough area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping every student achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About the Role
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with a range of special educational needs (including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties).
* Support pupils both academically and emotionally, promoting independence and confidence.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans.
* Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Monitor and report on student progress and engagement.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
* Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (in school or a similar setting).
* Demonstrate empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
* Be passionate about making a positive impact in children's education.
* Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS check.
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
