About the Role: As an SEN Teacher, you'll work closely with pupils, families, and colleagues to deliver tailored support plans, adapted lessons, and targeted interventions that meet each child's individual needs. You’ll foster a positive classroom environment that builds confidence, promotes independence, and encourages social development. Your Responsibilities: Implement personalised learning programmes for pupils with diverse needs, including SEMH, Autism, and other SEN. Adapt your teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities. Support the development of social skills, behaviour management, and emotional well-being. Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to review and refine support strategies. Track progress and modify plans to ensure all pupils can achieve their full potential. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity and confidence. Ideal Candidate Will Have: A relevant teaching qualification (such as QTS or equivalent). Experience working in SEN or specialist educational settings. Good knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive teaching practices. A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learners. Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude. A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (preferably registered on the Update Service).
