This great organisation has an exciting opportunity for a Field / Customer Engineer to join their dynamic team in the Edinburgh area. FULL TRAINING will be given. The role is to look after and work in and around the Edinburgh area. The role would suit an individual looking to advance their career in engineering/IT and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.
Experience mending white goods provides transferable skills for this role. A good level of mechanical/electrical aptitude is ideal. If you have experience in and enjoy general PC hardware and software maintenance, working with Windows operating systems or generally enjoy taking things apart, mending and putting back together again, this could be a great opportunity.
Responsibilities
* Diagnosing faults, making repairs and replacing modules on ATMs.
* Installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory to ensure continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Take responsibility and ownership of customer problems or incidents until resolved to the customer’s satisfaction and in compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements.
Candidate requirements
* Able to work on your own with minimal supervision and manage your time effectively and pro-actively.
* Good mechanical/electrical aptitude.
* Experience preferred with Windows operating systems.
* Experience in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair and basic computer hardware and software knowledge; but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
* Enjoys taking things apart and putting them back together.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Can work well under pressure.
* Full UK driving licence.
Shifts, vehicle, and benefits
Shifts are 5 days with 2 days off, with a day off either side if working over the weekend. Typical shift hours include 8am–5pm, 9:30am–6pm, or 12pm–9pm. This role comes with a company vehicle (for personal use) and a fuel card. Uniform and PPE are provided. Tools/laptop/Android phone and all other required tools are provided. Excellent company benefits include 30 days holiday per year (including statutory holidays).
